Introducing the Poodle Puppy . . .

. . . who might be known as Clayton.

I've been looking for a sibling for Cupid for a while, and last night I found him. I posted a thread asking how to know when you've found the right second dog. Well, I knew within five minutes of meeting him that he was the right one. I loved him immediately, and Cupid had an important reaction--his tail was up and wagging during their encounter.

The pup is an eleven-week-old toy poodle. Based on the size of his parents, it's believed he'll be about seven or eight pounds full grown. I've been considering names all day, and I think I'm going to go with Clayton (Clay for short) in honor of one of my favorite fictional characters. Plus I like that the name starts with a C like Cupid.

So, without further ado, here's the puppy.

He was too nervous last night to do much more than come home and go to bed. This morning, he was feeling playful, so he played with a rope.

Now he's trying a new toy, this time a plastic fish.

Here he's sniffing my knee as part of a get-to-know-you ritual.

How could I resist this face? Easy--I couldn't.

Here he is from another angle.

This is how he looks right now: worn out from the day.

And one last picture of me and my two boys. The picture of me is kind of dorky, but I couldn't be happier.

Aw, reminds me of a soft lamb. I just want to cuddle with all that fleecy fur. What a cutey!
He's adorable! And with that name, you wouldn't be a Kelley Armstrong fan, would you? :)
What a cutey!
Thanks, K9. :)

Is Cupid a poodle too?
Cupid is a Lhasa Apso/miniature poodle mix. I have to stick with the more hypoallergenic breeds because I'm allergic to other dogs.

Hee hee. You guessed it. Bitten is one of my three favorite books. I'm not sure how appropriate the name is for a four-pound toy poodle, but I'm sticking with it. :D
Aw, it's a great name! I LOVE Kelley Armstrong's books, almost read all the books in the series. If ou love Clay, you need to get your hands on her latest. It's a series of short stories on Clay and Jeremy and finally tells the stories of their past. It's called The Men of the Otherworld, a must read! I actually met Kelley Armstrong a couple of months ago, very nice lady, and she also mentioned her next book in the series will be about Elena again. :) It's coming out this summer time if I remember correctly.
Clay is so cute, I love the brwon on his face!!
Absolutely adorable!! I love the little brown patches.
Cutie Pie!!!
As if I wasn't already having a puppy problem! :p
Congratulations.

I think so too. Some of my friends think it's a little odd, but that's because they haven't read the book. :p

Oh, I definitely need to get my hands on The Men of the Otherworld. It sounds awesome! And I'm super excited about the upcoming book as well.

MusicMom and Dunixi, I love the brown hair, too. It's so fun, just a cute part of who he is.

Congratulations.
Thanks! It's been less than a week, but I love him dearly. We are having a blast together.
I haven't read the books your talking about either, but I think its a beautiful name for him. He is such a doll.
