[Deaf Dogs]

Oliver first. He's a mutt off the streets of Houston, TX. He flew here 3 years ago, when he was just 6 months old. He's about 40lbs, and 19" tall. He's def. a terrier mix. My best guess is Irish Terrier x Lab. He has aggression issues towards strange dogs and people.

I just love Oliver! He is absolutely adorable! He reminds me of the pedigree "Oliver" that was on a comercial so many years back and a rescue dog. He is not the same one is he?

Next is Mouse. She's a mini double dapple Dachshund. She's deaf, sees very little, has sleep apnea, is missing half a foot, and is allergis to metal!. I adopted her when she was 5 months old, and she made me fall in love with the breed, she's a very smart, loving, eager to please, social little dog! Honestly? she's my little baby girl, I love her to bits!

Nope! But he does look a bit like that dog! Mine's alot bigger. What's really funny, is a few months after I adopted (and named) my Ollie, I started seeing that commercial! LOL

Lol! Too funny! I loved that Oliver so much on the commercial I kept his picture from a magazine add and still have it in my photo book! Lol! I would have LOVED to have been able to rescue that little guy! I already had my pup Leeo at that time....... who knows or I may have tried hunting him down to try and adopt!

Here's Boo. I adopted him when he was 6.5 years old. He is a bit of a grumpy old man. He's also a mini double dapple dachshund. He's deaf and nearsighted. He's a snuggle-bum, who likes nothing better than to sit on laps all day!

You know, there seems to be more than a few dogs that look like my boy (though they're usually quite a bit smaller!) The lady that rescued Ollie sent me a pic of a puppy rescued in the area Ollie came from... she looks so much like my Ollie that it could be his puppy photo!

Here's Scout. She is my first deaf dog, and though she lives with my Mom now, she is my heart dog! She has taught me, and has given me (and the three dogs I rescued after her!) soooo much! I will forever be thankful we found eachother!

And last but not least, Zoe. My first rescue as an adult. She was a puppy mill breeder dog, who was so shut down, she could barely function... She made me cry for months!

Ant this one is when Oliver and Annabelle were puppies (and too cute for words!) I'd had Ollie a month, and my Sister had gotten Annabelle a week prior. Ollie was 7 months, Annabelle, 9 weeks

Wonderful!! I have a ? for you. My aunts girlfriend had a deaf doxy for a bit he looked like your boo but liver markings instead. He was also had trouble seeing out of his right(?) eye. He was really nippy to kids though and my aunt had a daughter so they had to re-home him to my aunts GF's mom. Is it hard for them to be around little kids or do you train them to be tolerant?

They are just too cute one of the first dogs I got when I was younger was a deff Aussie...I loved him to bits..He was the reason I got into training dogs. Love your little crew! And thank you for taking them in and loving them!
