Information for Golden Retriever owners (or mixes of)

Pigmentary Uveitis is becoming common in the breed, it often does not appear till the dogs are older but it can lead to pain, blindness or loss of the eye. Easy to treat with daily eyedrops though if caught in time. If you have a golden, or a golden mix (doesn't hurt to test them!) please make sure they get annual eye checks for this. Pass it on to others as well, and let your breeder know of the results so they can help track the problem and hopefully get dna testing for it.
