Inflammatory Bowel Disease

It's possible my dog has IBD, not 100% sure yet but the signs lead to it so I'm working with my vet to treat the issues she is having.

I'd like to know if any of you have experienced this 'disease' with their dog? How did it go? Was the problem resolved? What was the cause/trigger?
Next step for my dog is antibiotics and changing her diet, hope to see progress.

I do hope you and your vet can find the right path for your pup. Be patience... once the body tissue becomes inflame it takes time for the body to calm down and completely heal... Even if your on the right path, you may still see some spontaneous negative reactions as the body is still reacting to the inflammation.
Hi there, I'm new but wanted to comment. My dog was diagnosed with having an inflammatory bowel when he was about 1. After trying a few different kibbles from the vet and having ongoing issues we consulted a holistic vet. She helped us build a diet for him that has helped his gut heal and that has prevented any further major flares. In terms of triggers, she found that his gut was really sensitive to processed foods and also pesticides/chemicals on the ground in the places we used to walk. Currently we make his food, which I know is not available to everyone and can be risky for the dog if not done properly. Anyway changing his diet has made all the difference. It has honestly changed his life and ours. All the best :)
