I've already posted a few things and delved deep into the depths of this website for the last two hours... and still I can never get enough of talking about dogs!

I'm 17 years old with three years shelter volunteer experience. I have three dogs (Romeo the 14yo Chiweenie, Bonnie the 7yo pit mix, Rusty the 4yo GSD mix), and am learning the world of purebred dogs and breeding online, while my heart and experience lies in the rescue world. I'm looking to get into dog sports and more advanced obedience training, and sort of am leaning towards a dog-related career, if not wildlife biology. I'm interested in dog genetics, wild canines, and the anthrozoology of domestication.

Anyone with similar interests?

Welcome! It’s so great to volunteer, I did so a lot as a teen. I have applied to my local Humane Society a few times but they have never gotten back to me.

Sports are a great bonding experience with your dogs. It is possible to have a rescue that does a sport, here is a whole video from Crufts of rescue dogs doing agility.
