i wanting to get a puppy for our family.
would like a boxer or rottweiler.
would like full blooded but will accept mixes BETWEEN a boxer, rottweiler or american bulldog (
NOT A PIT / Stafitshire!!! AND YES THEY ARE DIFFERENT from American bulldogs )
(also we cannot have a full blooded AM. Bulldog , our county considers them to be pittbulls. we can get away with a cross but not full blooded),
would like a almost all white one with a few spots or flashy fawn ( tan with white markings ),
if mixed with rott black and tan is fine.
tail Must be docked.
must be a female.
willing to give your puppy a loving home with large yard.
haha. What do you all think about this?

Stafitshire. A word containing "fit" is not something the bully community needs.

Sounds like an odd request for a dog. I also don't see the point in docking a mutt's tail but that's an age old debate and its JMHO.

I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume one of three things happened.

1. English as a second language
2. Very young child
3. Has not slept in days over the excitement of getting a new Rottie/Boxer/American Bulldog. :)

Yeah Inga I agree it is very likely that the person might speak another language.
They must really like Rott's though, the spelled the name right, rather than the usual Rockwelder, Rockweiller, etc..

I have a very literate, well-spoken, highly intellegent friend who is dyslexic and types badly, although not in broken English as this appears to be. I am also an English major who wants to be an Editor ultimately, so I pretty much went through that post and edited it and made complete sense out of it.

Honestly I wouldn't laugh about something like this especially since I know someone who has a family, owns a dog and speaks this way due to a disorder. Please take in to consideration they may have problems speaking our language or are possibly disabled.

I can't tell you how many times I have read an ad for a purebred "dotson"... (I believe that would be dachshund)

Maybe possibly, the person is from another country, and if they're planning on moving back to that country and the country doesn't allow certain dogs?? Although they did spell "county"... Hmm...

Quite possibly I'm just confused. lol! I'll shut up now. : P

They may just speak broken English, or like someone else said have a speech impediment.

It might be some onewho does not really speak english or with a disability/illness but come on, in this day and age it seems that literacy is diminishing. In French, like in English, the quality of the language seen on the Internet is often atrocious.

....It could be that English is not the authors 1st language....but learning disability or dyslexia I don't buy....I have dyslexia and I am perfectly capable of using spell check, dictionary.com, and a good old regular book dictionary :)...I think people are just too in a hurry to care or just plain don't care.

The author of the ad has done a better job of communicating in English than I would have done in Spanish, French, German...well, just about any other language.

But most importantly, dogs don't care what language you speak, or even how well you speak it.

According to my dog, treats are a universal language. :D

Illiteracy....it makes me sad.

I'm on a committee for a local literacy council and the success stories of people helped by the council are so amazing. Not something I could ever laugh about. My brother is mildly dyslexic, although they didn't call it that back then. They just called him a lazy student although I swear I've never seen someone work so hard.

If I couldn't read and reread my favorite books, if I had never felt the joy of finishing a great book like Charlotte's Web or Dandelion Wine, if I couldn't read about history or what others think about what's going on in the world and compare it to my own thinking, if I couldn't comprehend facts or statistics or put together my own convincing case...my life would be so much less than it is. Not funny. Not a whit.
