Hello all. I am a first time dog owner. My family did not grow up with dogs and until recently I was deathly afraid of dogs (still am with strangers dogs) no matter the size. 2 weeks ago I brought my yorkie/poodle mix into my life and I have never been happier. He is 10 weeks old, very playful and loving.

I have ALOT of guestions and tons to learn. Please excuse my ignorance. I know simetimes people have VERY strong opinions but remember I am here to learn.

Hey there,

I'm new myself - but wanted to say I used to be the same way! A total cat person, and not really into dogs. I was actually bitten by a dog when I was 16 (totally unprovoked, I was just walking past him). So it kind of scared me off dogs for a while. But I didn't want to let one bizarre bad experience spoil me from a whole kind of animal! So I started trying to spend time around really nice dogs as therapy... and here I am 13 years later a TOTAL dog person. Congrats on your yorkie/poodle mix. I can't even imagine how cute he must be!
