The first few days after we adopted our dog I gladly let him on the bed to cuddle. Which he soaked up every minute of! Maybe this was a mistake. Now, that the honeymoon is over, we're having some issues with Tigre listening only when my son isn't home. We've stepped up the training and now he's no longer allowed on any furniture.
I know it's for the best (at least for now) but I miss my pupper cuddles!!

Alright...I'm done complaining. LOL.

it's hard to do what's right. which is why so many, many dogs aren't trained. stick with it, he'll act better and be back on the couch in no time.

Also you can get down on the floor with them for some cuddle time if you still want it and it doesn't undermine what you are trying to achieve with your training.

Amaryllis - Thanks for the encouragement. We're definitely going to stick with it!

Dagwall - Thanks, I do get on the floor with him sometimes! What gets me is when he lays his head on the edge of the bed and looks up at me. It's like he's trying to look as sad as possible!
