Hi. I gave my dog away to a association that helps rehousing dogs. I had my dog for 4yrs since he was a pup. I had to give my dog away because my health is really affecting me and my two babies, me or my husband were not able to give time to him so thought it best for him to go to a new home. The agency found a foster family who took him on Friday. Everything was fine and then on Sunday I get a msg from the person who helped get in touch with the association saying that my dog attacked the foster carer for no reason and the police had to be called to restrain him. She said its possible he may be put down. We tried to contact the foster family and the association but no one is willing to talk to us. I feel so bad for my baby ... My heat is at unease not knowing if he's still alive or not .. I don't know what to do

How awful for you. Both the health problems and the problem with rehoming.

I don't have a good answer, just some strings to grasp at. You might try calling the police. You might try having someone you know call the shelter and/or the foster family for you.

It is likely that the matter is up in the air and no one wants to talk until a decision is made. Also possible that they're trying to avoid emotional side of things . . . so might talk with a neutral, or sort of neutral intermediate.

Thanks for your reply. The problem is that the everyone thinks we lied about the dog not having aggression problems. We never had a problem with him.. He's never been violent to any of us and then all of a sudden he attacked the owner. I can't call the police because I have no right over the dog anymore. I signed him off to the association.
I wrote on here because I didn't have anyone to share my feelings with but then I just wen with it and spoke to my husband and he calmed me down. I feel better but still worried. I just hope he's ok .. If not then maybe he's gone to a better life

I just found out he's ok for the moment. The women that I was in contact with posted on a group, asking for a trainer. She also said that he was scared and became aggressive. If no one is willing to train him then they will put him down, but I doubt that because she said that the dog had shown he can behave and listen. I feel very optimistic, I know will help him
