I taught Kabota "good"!

Okay, to back up a bit, it finally occurred to me a month ago that Kabota just didn't know what "good" meant. I guess nobody bothered to say it to him before and he's terrible with words. I have to whistle for recall and use hand signals for commands.

So my husband and I have made a concerted effort to teach "good"- always saying it when giving a treat or petting or playing. We did this for a month, and just now, I said I thought the ending to Mass Effect 3 was good and Kabota lifted up his head and wagged his tail!

Yay!!!!!!!!

Normally I'd agree about tone, but Bo is off when it comes to words. He can hear, but he doesn't seem to be good at it. If I can place where a sound came from, a dog should be able to, but he'll wander off looking in the opposite direction. I had the vet check his ears, no infection or anything. He's just not good at dealing with sound.
