and I know dogs will go after cat food...but Mortimer LOVES the dog food. It's Nutro and he will eat out of Butch's bowl (Butch is such a push over) and I have to literally make him move away. You would think I never feed him the way he runs to the bowl...;)

My cat does the same thing, but not when the dogs are around. My dogs would never be so tolerant.

My cats will also try to eat dog food...lol

I recently took my cats off of dry food and switched them to raw...My cat Max is having a hard time with the transition and is badly wanting dry. He eats plenty of the raw food and still is allowed to have canned food...but he WANTS that dry...lol I've caught him numerous times trying to climb inside the dog food bag so he can stuff his face...Both cats come running when they hear me filling the dog bowls...I have to fight them off with a stick practically. However, they seem to prefer Eddie's Chicken Soup brand over Uallis's TOTW...lol

Also, my cats LOVE the Cosequin tabs that my dogs get. When I give them the tabs I just throw them in with their kibble and the dogs will just eat them like that...I've thrown the tabs into the bowls, turned my back for a minute and when I return the pills are gone...I KNOW the cats are stealing them when I walk away...lol

My husky actually will take food out of his bowl to give to my black tom cat. If the little gray one comes over to get some though, Tiberius barks...its the only time he barks. lol

The only one Butch ever growled at was Daja; he snapped at her too. Roxxy can and will take his food, and obviously, Mort has and does. Roxxy can do anything to Butch and I rarely hear him snarl at her let alone snap. Roxxy on the other hand, will let no animal near her food. She doesn't like me near it or her treats, but she never does anything about it...she knows better. ;)

Tiberius could care less. I can stick my hand in his mouth while he's eating and he'll stop chewing I think. I haven't tried it. He is really good about people around his food. His treats, he takes in his kennel to eat so the cats don't steal them.

My little one is a dog trapped in the body of a cat, lol...she eats dog food if she can...she eats anything actually, and she plays with the dog toys, chews on shoes..she's a really odd little cat.
