Here is a chocolate chart. Cocoa is very scary. Sassy got into it once too but didn't eat too much. 3 pounds of milk chocolate the first week we had her though. She threw up most of it, the vet got the rest and she was a hyper mess for several days. And that chocolate was in and out in less than an hour. If he isn't hyper now he probably didn't eat enough to cause real trouble.
Now she is kept in the back of the house when we are gone. Close the bathroom doors too! Maybe you could find a crate at a thrift store or something for when you are home with her? I used rubber bands to keep her out of the lower cupboards but she could get anything from the sink or countertop. We put a lot of stuff in the oven, she never figured out how to get in there. That is a lot of extra work for your family. Can she simply stay in your room when everybody is out?
