My 8 week old puppy...

kept humping my mom's arm. He was playing with her and then he would hop on her arm. AND SERIOUSLY HUMP IT ALL THE WAY TO HER SHOULDER?

Of course we thought it was hilarious... yet we really don't want to encourage that...

What would you say is the best way to end that.

Get him a stuffed animal that he really loves and redirect his play to the animal. :) He likes your mom and he's playing with her.

Just redirect him to something else, like playing with a toy. Dogs hump in play, some do it as out an outlet for excitement. I would use redirection, if he won't stop and do something else, then simply stand up and leave the room when he starts. Or you could put it on cue for when you want a good laugh . . . :)
