Hello all,

I have a 7 month miniature English bull terrier Cooper and a two year old cocker spaniel Koda.

When cooper plays with Koda, quite often he becomes too excited and can end up latching onto Koda's ear and not letting go.

At the moment Cooper's bite isn't too strong but I fear he may cause Koda or another dog serious injury in the future if this problem persists.

I wonder if there is anyone out there that has experienced similar behaviours with a dog or whom believes they have a training method we could try to curb it.

I look forward to reading your replies.

Thanks!

Interrupt play before it turns into an ear grabbing party. Bully breeds tend to be very rough in their play style, liking to wrestle and use their mouths. It can be quite intimidating to a dog who isn't used to it.
