Hello everyone,

Any suggestions / discussion about how tall I can expect this little guy to become?
I think about adopting him, but am quite insecure about his size.
He is said to be 4 months old, when that picture was uploaded mid october.

Thanks!

Pretty baby! Do you have any idea what breeds are in the mix? He looks like some of the Border Collie x Great Pyrenees crosses I've seen that range anywhere from "larger BC size" to "smaller GP size".

Go ahead and adopt.

What is attracting you to this particular pup? I have doubts if you are terribly concerned about his adult size. Otherwise, you would be looking at known smaller breeds and not looking a mix.

I adopted a stray puppy that I was hoping would be in the 75 pound range as an adult. I wound up with a 48 pound dynamo that I wouldn't have traded for the world.

That said, if you really want a larger dog, then go with one that is either a purebred or a crossbred that you know what breeds went into the mix.

Height is difficult to estimate without a little more knowledge about the parents. But, you may be able to guess from the current weight, b/c in general, a 4mos puppy may double in weight when full grown. And, you can look at dogs of similar 'breeds' [?] to see how big a dog of the estimated weight will be.
