To post on another thread before introducing myself.
I'm Linz, and this is at least the 4th dog forum I'm on. I have 2 dogs - 10yr old Milly, aka Madam Milly, a Whippet X Jack Russel terrier X monumental PITA with a splash of veloceraptor in there somewhere I think. 😁
Milly is a rescue-rehome case who has sparked my life and been the reason I'm losing my marbles for roughly 9 of her 10 years on Planet "Earth". If I was to write a biography about Milly, it would be somewhere between Marley and Me and Lassie Come Home - make of that what you will.
And Honey, aka Princess Honey, a pedigree Chihuahua (because she thinks she's a Princess
) She's a Free to good Home case that came to live with me about 15mths ago, when she was 5. Previous owners adored her - but as a living teddy bear, not for the dog she is. She was a little girl's pet, carried everywhere, to the point where her previous owners insisted she "wouldn't walk". She was walking within 3 days with me. Now she hates - fears even - being picked up.
She's mentally traumatised by her previous life, and I'm still unpicking all the damage, but we've come a long way. I love to watch her running towards me - there's a look of pure joy on her face when she does.
Both girls are my life. I had a recent pulmonary embolism scare which meant I was taken to A&E and the girls went to my brother's overnight. Next morning, waiting for my appointment to go for scans, I was lost without them and was glad to have them back.
So that's me and mine. I look forward to seeing you on the forum's.
