How many toys does your dog have?

Just curious. My hubby and I are a little over-the-top with toys. Our pups have literally hundreds of toys. I suspect it's more typical to have maybe 10 or fewer.

Sooo, about how many would you say that your dog(s) has/have?

(I cast the first vote, for way over 50... if I had to guess it would probably be a couple of hundred.)

Blizzard only has a few. When ever I buy him new ones, he simply tears them to bits. It's a mystery how he does it with the "unchewable" toys...
Oh... Zoey's probably got 20 or so.. But that's not including socks/gloves/underwear or anything else soft she can get her paws on..
Wally has just a few. A rope toy. A nylabone that I'm convinced will survive until the next ice age (chews it a little everyone once in a while), and a rabbit he sometimes will pick up and chew and make squeak.

Oh and a baseball with a bell inside that's really a cat toy.
My girl's have oh about 150+ toys. Every time any of my family visits they get a new toy or 2 or 3.
Tj is my one who really plays with toys. And he's got a soft mouth so he has every toy he's had sense he was itty bitty. Not including rolled up newspapers, cat toys, laser light pointer, legs of the other dogs, and then the cats.

Tj comments, "And the cats are real fun! Ya never know which way they'll run next." :D
Probably 8 billion, give or take a few. We have three dogs and I have a compulsive things-for-the-dogs shopping addiction.
Mojo has quite a few toys but I've never actually counted them. I'd guess three or four dozen toys total but we only let him have 5 or 6 at any one time. Once every week or two I swap out all but his very favorite so they stay interesting.
We have a walk-in closet that we call the Poca closet. It's supposed to be my pantry but most of it is taken up with her toys, food, leashes, grooming supplies, etc. When we moved last year, I took all the ones she didn't play with any more, sanitized them and took them to the local animal shelter. So I try to keep the number under control.

But I, too, am an addicted dog toy shopper. Can't resist buying her something every time I'm near pet supplies. I even buy things at the drug store! They have these stuffless stuffed animals that Poca loves and work great on the end of a flirt pole -- $3! How can I resist that???
Working in a pet supplies store is a dangerous thing! LOL. Knowing that I get all of the wonderful toys at cost + 10 makes it so hard to resist that awesome new toy that I just know Bentley will love...

Oooh, I would be in the poor house if I worked at a pet supplies store!
Well, we're just getting started as we've only had Enzo a little over a month, but he's already got well over a dozen toys. I keep finding these awesome new toys for him. And oh, he hates anything that squeaks, so that diminishes his selection. I buy him stuffed animals (with sewed on eyes and not plastic ones) at general toy stores because he loves stuffed animals but he hates squeakers, and boy it is hard to find them without squeakers!
I have 6 , 3 are left out one week then put away and the other 3 come out . Its a weekly swap , he doesn't seem to get bored with any of them that way .
There is a Puppy fair here in town today so he might get a new one today :D
We don't have that many, I said 6 - 10. Mainly it's becuase there are only a few toys that he really likes (tugs, balls, and frisbees) which he has a few of each. I buy him a new toy just about every time I buy him food, but I throw out an old one about that often as well.

Now that I think about it, Toby really doesn't play with toys unless someone is playing with him. He's not a chewer so the only time he cares about toys is if someone wants to play tug or fecth.
Do tennis balls count as toys?

If so, we have 72 - more-or-less.

Here's what they look like when they first arrive at our house and what they look like five minutes later. It's nearly impossible to spot them from the riding lawnmower so there are frequent casualties and replacements.

Oh yes... I remember this phenomenon when I was a child and our Golden would go through a canister of tennis balls a week! :D

Enzo is getting into tennis balls too. He's already "misplaced" 3.
I would estimate around 200 and of course they all want the one the other one has.
My female was an only dog for about 2 years and she had about 30 toys that she could bring you by name (example) Bring me the little monkey--or bring me the hedgehog, etc. When she got a new toy--it was just "new toy" until we named it. Now she has gotten lazy and just wants whatever the boys are playing with.

I put that they probably have around 6-10. Eddie has some ball type toys that Uallis isn't allowed to play with because they are too small for him. I switch out the toys every once in awhile when I see that they are getting bored with them. They used to have more but I just recently sanitized and gave away some of their toys that they didn't really like and only played with a time or two.

Uallis really only likes toys that make noise like squeaky ones. So that really limits his selection and Eddie likes ball type toys, whether its his basketball, glow ball, jolly ball, etc. He likes to play "soccer" with them. lol :)

Mojo loves stuffed animals and because he's not a hardcore chewer I will buy regular ones too and I've found some great deals that way. He adores this stuffed puppy posed in a play bow I bought on sale after Valentine's day for like $2! So cute to watch him playing with it because it's not much smaller than he is! I've already got my eye on a couple of Easter toys that I'm hoping will go on a great sale after the holiday.
