Whatever your vet told you. Don't give antibiotics without a vet's advice.

You won't get an answer to that question here because only a vet can tell you how much of any medicine you should be giving.
Mayhaps you should have listened to your vet when you got the antibiotic and then you would know how much to give. That is of course assuming that you got the antibiotic from the vet and you aren't just giving your dog some random medicine that could potentially harm or kill your dog.

Willowy was just giving you an honest answer. You didn't have to respond in turn with what sounded like attitude.

It is not possible to diagnose or treat the dog on the Internet. For the protection of the dog, and of this forum,
please read the disclaimer for this subforum and see a vet.

*Important - All serious concerns with your dog's health and well-being should be handled by a Veterinarian, so please refrain from asking questions that are best suited for their office.
And drop the attitude.

wondering if any of you know how many .mg of antibiotics is needed for a 12lbs maltese that is 8 years old.
thanks for any help.
The contents within your question are evidence enough that you don't need to be given an answer to it. The dose for antibiotics depend on the antibiotic you're using and sometimes what you're using it for, how long you're using it, and what other medications are being given with it. I would never give a dose or even a way to get a dose to a question like this. Please see your veterinarian. Your dog deserves to be seen by a professional.
