This Saturday me and Spirit (2 yr old SCWT x(?)) stayed over a friend's place. Since this friend used to have a dog and I've walked the yard before I didn't check for hazards this time. Unfortunately Spirit drank some standing rainwater that has dozens (100s?) of mosquito larvae swimming in it.
Spirit is not on preventative meds because my vet says we live in a low risk area. So, how long should I wait before getting her tested for various worms? I presume that like with humans, there's a minimum time between exposure and a reliable test result.
