For Hawkeye I spent one year researching breeders and once I found one I waited 4 months till I got a puppy. It turns out she had JUST done the breeding when I contacted her about getting a puppy. I was very lucky to get one. The breeder didn't know me, I was very young, 20(not something the breeder was used too), and I had never had an AKC ASCA registered show prospect pup before. The only thing I had going for me was Kechara, I had proof on her name "Fleming's Flying Kechara NA NAJ OA OAJ AX AXJ CD CGC" that I was dedicated enough to handle a new puppy. I cannot thank the breeder enough for allowing me to take one of her puppies.
When I was talking to the breeder later on it turns out she actually sent people away who had called to get a pup. Which makes me even more thankful to her.
