I'd contact the APBT clubs for the countries you are interested in. Try the Italy one for sure if you are willing to go that far. They've some breeders with nice dogs. Only breeders I know of in Croatia is game dogs.

If you contact the adba I'm sure they can give you the contact info for the Europe clubs. Then you'd be able to get in touch with some breeders.
