My previously housetrained 6 year old Boston Terrier has recently starting peeing in the house. We took her to the vet and there is nothing medically wrong with her but he suggested we think about anti anxiety medication to see if that might help.

We have had her since she was a puppy and she grew up with our other dog who went to heaven last year due to age, we have a two year old little girl, and recently moved into a new house. Maybe all these changes have made her anxious when we leave her at home alone?

Does anyone have advice on what we should do? I have even considered adopting another dog to keep her company but wonder if that will make matters more stressful for her.

Thanks for reading.

What tests did your vet do to rule out medical issues such as diabetes mellitus, urinary tract infection, etc? Is her urine concentrated? Is she drinking more water than usual? Has her appetite increased? Any skin or coat issues?

Add to the above list diabetes insipidus. If the vet didn't test for all those things, go to another vet and specifically ask for those tests.
