Hi I have just bought a new 7wk old Jack Russell Terrier puppy. she is call Jasmine, (jaz - for short) I am so relieved to find this site, as I am almost sick with worry about leaving her for work tomorrow, for the first time. I have been reading your posts about crating. that has put my mind at rest somewhat.. but I am now going to read on.... lovely to meet you all. I am Sue, btw. from UK.

hello and welcome Sue! On suggestion when crating and leaving your baby for the first time is to take an old shirt...wear it all day so your scent gets all over it and then leave the shirt in the crate with her while you are gone. That might help her not miss you as much! Don't forget a chew toy as well!

hi, thanks for your reply, i am at present changing my t-shirt, an old one......hmmm.... my painting shirt will do.lol. gonna wear it all day.. how odd is this feeling? i have a stomach ache.... 4 hours... will i be able to concentrate?... it's worse than my kids when they were babies. but she's so small...?( 1kg) that's almost 2lbs i think. i'll be glad when tomorrow is over.... must go now and find that t-shirt
