Just a few days ago my Dewey, Chihuahua 8 years old was diagnosed with diabetes. It was a shock to me, he is only 3 pounds 4 ounces. Just the thought of injecting him. Now I have to test his urine for ketones, I bet that's a challenge. I am struggling with the food just before the insulin. Suddenly he has become picky. Is it due to insulin? I don't know. I need to please ask anyone out there to help me with information on these challenges.

Secondly, my miniature Poodle Lucky, is 13 & 1/2 years old. Has recently been diagnosed with kidney failure. She doesn't eat, I spoon feed her K/D Hill's prescription food, with water. She now doesn't seem to drink water. My main issue is, at night she urinates while sleeping! I put diapers, pad, I find myself washing diapers, pad, along with sheets, blankets etc. Last night I made suspenders! Yey I hope it helps me. Please if anyone out there can give me suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.
