Hi everyone! I live in Southern California with my 3-year-old rescue mix, Sharky. I've had him for a year and a half now and he's blossomed so much. I spent the first 6 months of our time together thinking, "Does this dog like me? ... Does he want to bite me?!"

Looking back he probably didn't like me, but now I can say he LOVES me!! Such a good feeling! He is my first dog as an adult and he's become such a huge part of my life and identity.

I've been considering adding a lab puppy to our family sometime and I thought this board would be a good resource. that and I have a sickness where I look at dog pictures for hours.

Ah, your dog is so cute! I think I see some Akita in there (though I'm probably wrong haha), and I adore those ears!

I felt the same way for the first two months with my rescue puppy, and I honestly thought he hated all of us! I completely understand the thrill of finally seeing a bond forming!

(Oh and I think we're afflicted with the same illness hehe! This site is the perfect remedy!)
