Hi all,
We adopted a cockapoo back in may, she was 8 weeks old at the time.
She's now 5.5 months old.

She certainly inherited mostly cocker spaniel looks, but she is a no/low shedder which is great.

She loves our kids, loves our cat (cat is indiferent), loves everyone else too. She is nervous around new dogs and will lay on her back to show she's not a threat. Nothing aggressive at all, she usually just runs away if another dog starts chasing her. Once she gets used to them she's fine. We've been taking her to the dog park a couple times a week to help socialize her.

Hoping to learn a lot here.

Welcome. She's adorable. The fluffy ears really make the adorableness.

If she is shy, be cautious about trying to use the dog park as socializing. Depending on the style of your dog park though. A busy, crowded one with the risk of people bringing dogs with bad manners or aggression can mean a very bad experience that will set her back emotionally quite a low. A large, open park that is more off-leash hiking rather than dog-dog play time can be OK for relaxed encounters. Socializing is quality over quantity. Just my opinion, but play dates with known dogs and puppy classes with supervision are a far safer and more likely to succeed way to socialize a pup to other dogs than a dog park.
