Hi everyone

Hi all, My husband and I recently bought a house (small holding).

We are both passionate about animals and would like to get 3 dogs on the plot.

He loves Staffies and I am a maltese person. We have decided to get 2 staffies as he loves the breed and feels that they would be good watch dogs. I on the other hand am not sure if the maltese will be safe with 2 staffies, we will get all 3 at the same time in the hopes of them getting along from a young age.

All three dogs will be house dogs. Will this work or will I end up crying over my maltese being bitten by the staffies?
Also what is the best combination when you get 3 dogs, males, females or mixed? (They will be fixed no matter what sex we choose)

Ps. I have done a lot of research on the staffies and got mixed messages regarding their ability to live with smaller dogs.
