Hey guys, I'm the proud owner of a 2 month old Shih Tzu, and love her very much. I feel sad that she's now seperated from her parents and litter, but I'm confident I can give her a loving home. Anyways, I've been doing some research here and there, and it seems that most people recommend doing shots asap, and not letting her outside until all the shots are done. I'm wondering then if this will damage her socialization at such an early stage, if shes not allowed to frolic in nature?

Also, she kind of smells :X is it okay for me to proceed and give her a bath? I'm sure I'll have more questions, as I'm totally new to this and have never owned a dog before.

Thanks for any help!

Congratulations! Go ahead and bathe your stinky pup, just use a hypoallergenic shampoo.

As to socialization, parvo kills. You can let her roam your back yard, you can carry her through the pet store, she can play with dogs you know are vaxxed, but wait until the final series of shots for anything else.
