Hi! My husband and I are newlyweds and just brought home our first "baby". Her name is Mandie and we adopted her yesterday. One of the local recues was having an adoption at Petsmart and we went in just to see. Well hubby fell in love with a two year old dachsund/lab mix. Yes she's as awkward looking as that sounds but we fell in love. The rescue didn't know much about her but what I can you is that she is a huge cuddle bug and couch potato. She doesn't have leash manners and no recall but we're gonna go to doggie classes to help with that. We're just so in love with her and she just brings out my gruff harley riding husbands soft side. We live in an apartment and is just the perfect companion. Can't wait to share pictures and get advice on our newest addition.

She is adorable in her own way. I have pictures but they're on my blackberry so I'll have to upload them from it. Right now she's laying in my lap. She thinks she's a lap dog but since she's so long, she's falling off on both ends.
