Hey guys,
I’ve been researching and looking for help and ideas and hitting road blocks and extremely indecisive on what I should/shouldn’t do. Back in December 2020 my pup was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastritis. It was a nasty bloody mess. Tucker is a 1 yr old huskey belgian mal mix that is extremely active and hyper and everything I personally want in a dog. With that being said I know when tucker isn’t feeling well or “isn’t” tucker. So when he got sick the first time I didn’t hesitate and got him to the vet immediately. Yesterday 3-4-21 I went to check on him and he was calm-ish which isn’t him. So my first thought was this stuff is happening again. Then I noticed the basically water he was popping out. I immediately called the vet got his meds re done and called in and picking them up ASAP. Now for my question since o got that out the way. What are some easy to digest high protein and hydrating foods/liquids I can feed him to keep him on track? He loves bananas and eggs, he will try to kill people for eggs lol he does not absolutely not eat table food never has. I want to try a raw diet but I am so scared to with his stomach.
Guys my heart is breaking over this. I was told to give him yogurt and eggs and that it’s good for his stomach. I haven’t tried much, not gonna lie because i don’t want to give him something and have the same problem I did a few months ago. So any advise/help from anyone that is or has had the same issue please please please let me know.
Currently- weight is 63 lbs
Eyes - reddish not horrible
Good saliva production (no white gums or stickiness yet)
Stools- water.
regular urine.
not lethargic eating and drinking regularly

Tucker is parasite free I was able to get the stool test done on him, I have not tried the pumpkin yet, nor has anyone mentioned it. Thank you for that. I am totally open to trying natural ingredients. I have heard that the raw diet is a bit taboo for allot of people. Which is partially why I am hesitant against it. I will definitely give the pumpkin a shot.

To add to it- no his vet did not suggest raw anything. He wanted him on science diet, but at 60$ per 5lb bag where I’m at that’s out the question. I love my dog or else I wouldn’t be here but I’m a single mom with three kids there is a limit as to what I can and cannot do.

Day 3 of hge flare up. He didn’t really eat today. I had to coax him to his food. He nibbled then stopped. For the first time ever I had to put his meds down his throat. No solid poops yet either.
his was however all gone before I went to work so he did eat all of it.
