Hey all, I haven't been on in ages since I moved to Denver.

I've been weaning Kaki onto a new food to help put some weight on her. So I've been mixing Evo and pedigree. She has had explosive poo. It's awful. The poor girl has never had an accident until now and I can tell that the act upsets her(old owners I s'pose).

Any advice is welcome. What can I do to get rid of the runs?

Well, Pedigree isn't very good food but that may have nothing to do with it. Are you changing foods? If so, did you do so gradually? It's possible of course that something in one or both foods disagrees with her (i.e. the corn in Pedigree).

It might be a good idea to put her on a simple, bland diet of something such as boiled chicken and rice for a few days to see if that helps.

Some dogs don't do well on EVO. It's a very protein and calorie rich food.

Kaki may be a dog that would do better on a single source protein/carb diet. California Natural, Natural Balance and Wellness all make limited ingredient diets.

Every dog is different and you may have to play around with different diets until you get it right.
