At the moment I am having a few problems with one of my pack
After trying to calm her down during off lead exercise (to prevent injury)
I shouted to try and shock her into stopping, this only had the effect of spooking her and causing her to run the three quarters of a mile home.
up till that point she was fine with her recall.
Any ideas how to start rebuilding an effective working relationship with her?
All the best

first off I would let her off the lead at all. Too many things could happen. Are you using positive reinforcement and treats? I would start out with little things and then work your way up to the more challanging ones.

Also when you yelled what did you yell? I would use a noise instead of words!

Up till that point she was fine off the lead with a good recall
Thankfully where I exersise my dogs there are no roads between me and home.
I am trying to use positive reinforcement and treats.
Hopefully I just spooked her into running away and not scared her
Yes I thought go back to basics and reinforce what she has already learned before trying to progress further. (but without yelling)
I did not yell any words but a noise.
Thanks for your help and advice
