Hi and thanks in advance for any and all suggestions! We have a 2 year old Shorkie and adopted a 5 mo. old shorkie last night. Gracie (the 5 mo. old) was housebroken using puppy pads. I do not want to use these and need to re-train her to go outside. She loves to play outside and will willingly go out, but will not go to the bathroom. She waits until we are back inside and goes immediately. HELP. I do not want Punkin (2 yr. old) reverting back and not going out.
Thanks again!

This is the problem with a pad-trained puppy. It's harder to train them to go outside. The only suggestion I have is to use a crate to train her as if she had never been trained at all. I would also get some pads and use them outside so she can go on them out there at first. Then move it further and further away from the house. Then start cutting them in half, then in quarters, making them smaller and smaller so she's going on the ground. Make sure to use LOTS of praise whenever she does go outside.
