I have a 11 month old frenchie and ever since I got him his stool aren't very firm, I have tried everything, he was on purina pro plan and now i switch to blue buffalo, it helped with his farts but with his stool still soft, it isnt diarrhea it just soft and theres always leftover on his behind which is a hassle when he goes outside then comes back inside we have to see if he's dirty or not, i have given him rice and pumpkin puree with his food and it helps a bit, what can i do so everything comes out so it dont get stuck so i wont have to clean him, i have a chihuahua and he been on blue buffalo since a puppy and no issues at all, thank you

Tuff one. i experiment often with combining different brands of kibble and usually get mixed results. What works today doesn't necessarily work tomorrow and vice versa. The current combo i'm feeding is homemade rice & chicken, blue buffalo wilderness high protein, topped off with a touch of royale canin wet stuff. The stools have been some of the best yet. I think the key is variety, it keeps the digestive track guessing. YMMV...

How much are you feeding, and how much does he weigh? Loose stools can be a symptom of overfeeding, where the dog can't fully process all the food going in before it gets through the digestive tract, so cutting back for a little while can be worth a try. If he has other issues alongside the digestive problems (lethargy, itchiness, poor body condition, etc.) it's worth running this by a vet to make sure you're not dealing with an underlying issue like parasites or food allergies/intolerances.

He weights 29 pounds and i feed him a cup in the morning and a cup at night, i when to vet and couldn't find anything
Two cups a day does sound a bit on the high end for his size, especially if the rice and pumpkin is on top of that! The feeding guides on the bags often over-estimate the amount of food an average family dog needs. It might be worth cutting back by a quarter cup or so and seeing if you notice any change in his stool.
