My dog recently came over an anxiety of being left alone. Her brother is fine, and we haven't had any problems with him. We used to crate them together when we left the house, but she has figured out how to undo all the latches and completely undo the crate itself. We tried leaving her in our yard and she gets out, so we tried an out door leash while I was home to monitor it. She rubbed her neck raw from trying to escape it. We went to a trainer and was told that using a calming pharamone diffuser in a small-ish area with some sort of sound and plenty of things that smell like us. She also recommended a game to play with her so she doesn't see leaving as a big deal. It worked just fine until this week, when leaving for any amount of time, even 20 minutes results in door frame chewing, rugs, couches, shoes, etc. being destroyed. She gets plenty of exercise (multiple walks a day and frequent trips to the dog park.) I'm at my wits end and I feel like I have no other choice but to find her another home.
