My Black Mouth Curr is being aggressive to my husband. He jumped up and bit him in the face, I have told him not to use a heavy hand with him and not be aggressive with him, can some one please help....
Gunner is his name, and with me he has never been aggressive at all with me.

Not much to go on here. Is your husband home every day or, is he away for work for days or even weeks at a time? What happened right before Gunner bit him? Was there food involved? Did your husband try to correct Gunner? Was a toy, bed or other valuable to Gunner item involved?

My wolfdogs, when they first come here, get either shy or aggressive with my husband who is a long haul truck driver and, home only on weekends for about the first six months the dogs are here. It takes them that long to get to know him well enough that that they know he's part of the family. He understands that and, doesn't try to correct or force them to come to him. I do bring them to him when he's home and, ask them to sit bedside him and allow him to pet them but, I do it with me there with them and, with the dog on leash.
