My 1 yr old Berner has always had issues with his stomach, no matter which food we try he has always had loose stools (been checked by vet, nothing wrong). The latest food we have tried is California Natural which have improved the frequency and consistency of his bowel movements but now he has terrible gas, all the time. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good large breed or regular adult food that is easily digestible?

Try using an enzyme supplement. Solid Gold Seameal, or Great Life Enzymes Pro, or Prozyme to name a few. These help your dog absorbe more nutrients, producing less waste and gas.

I had a dog with similar problems and I never really found a food that worked well for him, and I tried just about every food on the market. The thing that ended up working with us was to feed Wellness, mixed with rice. I don't know if the bland rice helped sooth his stomach or what, but it did the trick. And enzyme supplement as suggested above is a good idea too.
