Hello to everyone. I just joined here! I'm currently a pre-vet student and love doggos! I've already read a few posts and am excited to share and gain knowledge. I just have a question about posting. I saw in the rules about not posting breeding/selling puppies, etc. However, I was just wondering if it is acceptable to post asking if anyone knows any breeders in the area. I'm sure many people on the site advocate adopt- don't shop, and I typically do too. All of the dogs I have had growing up were strays that we rescued. However, I have been absolutely in love with corgis for many years, and I plan to get one when I'm in my first apartment in about a year (currently in dorms at school). Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone knew what the rules are about posting trying to find a breeder? Thanks for the help y'all!

Yes, you can ask for breeder recommendations. Just be aware that your idea of what constitutes a good breeder and what someone else's idea of what constitutes a good breeder can be vastly different. I always suggest that you check out the national breed club, and see if they have a list of member breeders, and then doing your own research on things like health testing and titling to make sure the breeder's philosophies mesh with yours.

By the way, which corgi? I'm partial to Cardigans, myself.
