We currently have three dogs -Nelson a 12 year old beagle/pointer cross, whom we adopted from the humane society as a puppy on holidays in eastern Canada. He is older and loving and very needy. Also Lily, a 6/7 lab/boder collie adopted from a rescue when was 3/4. She has one eye and her tail removed by tying a tight elastic around it... She is sweet and loving. In December we agreed to foster niece's 3 year old Himilyan sheep dog. Tob spent most of his first three years living in a big city. Even though he had lots of exercise and stimulation, he was not thriving ...main problem throwing up and drooling EXCESSIVLY ever time he had to go in the car which was all the time. He was Very stressed and was not thriving...we took him in with the idea of finding him a new home...long story ... We still have him...he still drools and is Very very anxious in the car. Here car rides are not often, but we have a summer cottage 4 hours away and would love it if he would enjoy the ride..... He loves it when he gets there... Okay I am open to suggestions..We need to get through to him that car rides are fun. .Thanks

You can give him dramamine which is available at walgreens and other drug stores and give him toys or whatever he enjoys to make it less stressful. I take my dog for car rides to try to get him used to it but til now, he is still scared of being in a moving car.
