I am having trouble leash training my 3 month old puppy. When he is on the leash, he pulls backwards a lot. I try so hard just to get him to come to me but it doesn't work. I talk in a nice excited voice that he usually comes to I've held treats, but no matter what, he pulls backwards as hard as he can and absolutely refuses to move forward...I try to make the leash a fun thing, but that's pretty hard to do when he won't allow me to do anything fun with it!

Any help is appreciated!

It's more about confidence and trust than the actual walking or the leash. Start out slow....just walking in the house with the leash on, then the backyard, then to the corner and back....then around the block. Build the trust and confidence first and introduce the world to him in small steps.

Bring really tasty treats with you and reward/praise the bravery.
