Having difficulty after adding a new dog to the family

I have a 2 year old Boston Terrier named Harry. He is super friendly and passive, not at all an alpha male. I just rescued a 1 1/2 year old Basset Hound mix named Lucy and she is precious, super loving and the dogs are getting along great. The only problem I am having is that when I take them for walks, my Boston seems upset and is timid. I live on the beach and normally Harry runs around, jumps in the water and LOVES the beach. Since bringing Lucy into the mix, he just stands in one spot and refuses to move on the beach. Lucy runs around and has a blast, but my heart is breaking for Harry. I'm not sure what to do about it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would walk them separate. Harry still needs one on one time with you. Same with Lucy.

Ok Thanks. How long do you think I will have to walk them separatley? I don't mind doing it, but it would be great to be able to walk them together!
It's been almost two year that I have had Bentley and Tank and I still walk them separate. It gives me one on one time with them and helps deepen the bond. Some walk their together though. In the morning if i am super tired though i do walk mine together. In the evening though it is separate.
