Hi all.
one of my 10 puppies in our new litter has something different. When they were first born about 5 weeks ago i initially thought that this specific puppy was a girl, and this was solely based on the fact that the dog had no visible Penis at the time. When we looked again a week later we realized that he was (well we think at least) a boy, his name is now James.
James seems to have, like a little, kangaroo pouch, where his penis should be. it's odd. he pees out of it ok as far as i can tell. now he seems to have a little rash on his back legs presumably from the acidity of his pee.
Anyways, I've
attached a picture of it, can anyone tell me if they've seen it or heard of this before? what is it called? what do we do? how is it treated? etc. Thanks all!!

We cannot provide medical diagnoses or advice. You need to have him checked out by a vet.

Well I do understand that , qhat I was wondering was if anyone had ever seen that on another puppy or not.. while I'm obviously aware its not totally normal I thought maybe it could be a thing that puppies grow out of or something like that.
Was only asking if anyone at all had seen this kind of thing before. I'll be taking him to a vet as soon as we can get in.
Thanks

Please let us know what your vet does say as we are here to learn as well.

While we cannot diagnose or even guess at the issue (forum rule and a good one) you providing more photos and the vet's diagnosis and treatment options will help us. This information can be especially useful for anyone who is in rescue and has a puppy that is similar.

We don't allow people to discuss or guess about medical issues until they've been seen and diagnosed by a vet. This is to protect the dogs involved - a lot of medical issues look similar, but may have very different treatments. Even well-meaning guesses or advice could accidentally endanger a dog if they're wrong, or cause a delay in necessary medical treatment.
