Has anyone done a DNA test on their dog?

We are considering doing the The Canine Heritage™ XL Breed Test on our shelter puppy Lilly. Does anyone know anything about this test and how accurate they are? TIA

We did. We used BioPet, but it is similar to the one you are thinking of doing. We think it is pretty accurate. Casey looks Siberian husky, and his results came back over 75% Siberian husky (and less than 20% Great Dane). I'm sure the blood testing (as opposed to the cheek swab) might be a little more accurate, but we did it for fun....and I'm happy with the results!
I haven't, but when we get the money to do it, we'll get one done on Maddie.

How expensive are the cheek swabs? I have a feeling my dog would come up 75% husky (her mom was half husky, 1/4 pom, and 1/4 rat terrier and the dad was one of many dogs roaming around guy's house including one husky... she got out and they all got to her apparently) and it would be something I'd love to do for fun (just to see what hte dad might possibley be or if my suspicions are correct) but on a budget I don't really want to spend 100 bux on it.
Here's a great article on Foxnews regarding DNA tests for dogs..... and it mentions the cost...
