So I have a 3 year old Jack Russell who absolutley love the outdoors. Loves to sniff, chase squirrels and birds, and loves rolling in grass. Everytime I mention "going for a walk" she perks up and smiles from cheek to cheek. However, she hates her harness. Everytime I pull it out, she runs and hides and wont come near me. I noticed that her "armpits" were red, so I loosed up the harness but she still wont come near it. Should I consider buying a new harness? Maybe one with padding?

I purchased soft Comfort harness ... a step-in harnesses for my little ones. It is their first harness ever and they are over 5 years old. I have had no complaints as of yet. I would take your girl to the pet store to try it on so you know it is the proper size. :) Depending on where you live ... Pet Plus Supply and some other pet stores allow dogs to come in. They are under $20 each where I bought them. :)
