Hey... I have a question about where my dog likes to lay down. He lays everywhere, including the furniture, but mostly he seems to like to lay on hard floors. Just curious why that would be. He likes the wood floor in the dining room, the tile floor by the front door, and the concrete floor in the laundry room. (Mostly he lays on the wood floor.)

Anyone know why a dog would like a hard floor instead of a carpeted floor or padded chair?

Thanks!

Does he have thick fur, or is it hot where you live? Dogs like hard floors because they're cooler. So that might be why.

I wouldn't say it is too thick. He was groomed a couple weeks ago and she kind of buzzed him down. We are just coming out of a really cold period here. It was sub-zero the first half of last week, but jumped up into the 40s the last couple days. It sure has been nice walking him without having to wear a coat.

You both may be right about it being cooler on the hard floors.

Thanks!
