I was wondering if anyone gives these to their dogs? My girls love them, but I have read several comments from people on the internet saying that they caused blockages and/or choking plus they were not digestible. So, I was wondering if anyone fed these and what you (and your dog) thinks of them.

I haven't fed them, because everything I've heard about them makes me nervous. Plus raw bones are much safer and more nutritious. Depending on what kind you get they're probably cheaper and more effective at keeping the teeth clean anyway.

I stopped giving them to my girls because of all of the negative things I heard, but they really did love them! What types of raw bones? Are there any risks with those I should be aware of? Juicy tries to swallow everything whole, and I am always worried she will end up with a blockage if something is too big or does not digest properly.

Don't like them. My dog cant digest them well.

I give any part of a chicken, turkey wings, necks, backs, thighs, legs, beef ribs (only the Shiba), pork ribs, etc. Any bone that has to be chewed, or is too big to swallow whole, for your dog's size, would work fine.

I give Hitch greenies. He loves them. He has always chewed them up really well, and I have never had an issue with him digesting them as far as I know. Hitch would be really dissapointed if he didn't get his greenie after dinner!

I know many have a strong opinion one way or another. We feed one a day & yes, they made a huge difference on our dogs teeth. They get many chew things from bully sticks to hard chews but nothing cleaned their teeth like greenies have.

Greenies are one of chloe's high value treats, one at bedtime. 4yrs, never an issue.

From what I heard/read many dogs have died due to blockages caused by Greenies, short and long term. I don't feed my dogs any commercial treats what so ever so I wouldn't feed them anyway, I agree with the others that raw bones are a much healthier, safer and likely more affordable way to treat a dog and keep the teeth clean.

bully sticks, marrow bones, rib bones, elk antlers, and other types of raw bones, meaty or not are great.
