We are at the bottom of a big bag of lamb lung here. Low fat, high protein, yummy and easy to break into tiny training treats if needed.

Ziwi Peak makes treats. I tried out a brand of a similar dry meat only food as treats, that works too.

There are fish skin chews. Don't last long but dogs sure liked them.

Zillions of meaty treats out there. Just be sure they aren't made in China. Chicken jerky treats made in China have been making lots of dogs very ill!

Mine loves Blue Buffalo Wilderness biscuits and freeze-dried beef liver treats but they're kind of expensive. Then again, she only gets one treat a day so they'r not too bad. From time to time I make home made treats that she likes. I bought an organic dog biscuit recipe book at Barnes and Noble that came with 3 cookie cutters...a fire hydrant, a squirrel and a dog bone shaped cutter.

I rarely feed my dogs commercial treats, usually just homemade or out of the fridge snacks, BUT.. I like the idea of a grain free cookie once in a while, and so do they.. and I opted for NOW! grain free treats.

You COULD make your own homemade grain-free treats as well.. :)

P.S - I think your Shiba will like the Pacifica from Acana, for some reason, Shiba's really LOVE fish. I've used this one in the past as well, and although I dont feed kibble too often (my dogs eat a raw diet), my Shiba loves anything fishy - he loved Acana Pacifica when I fed it, and when I do feed kibble occasionally for convenience reasons I opt for something with fish for him, and he absolutely loves raw fish, and goes bonkers over it compared to any other raw meat or kibble.

Good luck!
