Arlo and I have developed a nice routine. We go on our nice walk at 7pm, he does his business, and it's bedtime by 9pm. He sleeps in our bed. I am usually up at 6am for work and let him out around 6:30. Normally he pees for me but sometimes he just sits and stares at me and I have to ask my mom to let him out a bit later, who is here until my daughter wakes up and she takes her back to her house to babysit.
My husband is home by 8:45am (3rd shift), gives him breakfast and a walk.

Anyway, on my days off, he will occasionally go on a pee strike. Like this morning. I let him out at 8am when we got up (he hadn't gone since our walk last night). He just sat in the sun and squinted at me. I tried my tricks of walking him around where he likes to pee, and encouraging him to walk around. He still refused. I took him out half hour later, still NO PEE!
I am so paranoid he'll pee on the floor because we are just starting to work through his indoor peeing. He has had less and less accidents and now we've gone a week without one. I am so proud of him.

Anyhow, is that normal? 14 hours seems crazy to me. He's only 16 lbs and his bladder can't be that big. He really doesn't drink that often though.
He has been butt scooting a little, so I am scheduling a vet appointment on the 22nd, I'll mention this for sure..

He peed for my husband on a walk, after 9am... and just now at 10:30am, he was on the couch with me and when he got up, there was a small pee spot (about 2" in diameter). I'm kind of worried... hope the vet has an idea.

Hope he is ok. One time my Dad and I had a communication glitch and he thought I took the dog out and I thought he took the dog out ... no lie ... 24 hours later the poor dog was about ready to burst! That was one of my older rescues ... she sure was housebroken! Poor dog ... I will never forget that.

Keep us updated on what the vet says.
