I actually spent a fair amount of time looking for something like this, especially because it gets dark here so early in the winter. We actually made one, flexible LED strips glued and sewn to a regular collar with a tiny battery pack so we could turn it on and off, cost us about $15 to make.

They are for sale in many places, Google LED dog collar, or Illuminated K9 safety, there is a ton out there. Prices vary HUGELY. It varies from small lit collar "tags" to higher tech working police/SAR/Military dog supplies. Some get kind of crazy, blinking at variable intervals so the "enemy" will have a harder time targeting the dog (WHAT!!! makes sense, but wow!).

If you have an experience looking for one like mine, you'll search REALLY hard to find one, when you finally get one and they'll spring up in stores everywhere lol. Our pet store started carrying at least the lit tags about a month after we made our collar.

Does anyone have one? If so, where did you get it from? I can't seem to find any (other than reflective) anywhere. I would like to find a very bright one that works good.
I got mine at Dr's Foster and Smith retail store, they come in a bright pink or a bright blue LED. Came with 4 batteries 2 pre-installed and 2 replacements. Also they have the 6 foot lead available in the same LED colors. I got it for a good price at $18.79 on sale for 20% off. Going on 2 months sence I purchased mine still bright and running on the same batteries. Their retail store is in Wisconsin, but they have a website if you wanted to check it out. Free shipping on orders $49 or more otherwise it is $5.99 ground. Really hoping you find what your looking for chipinmom, like i did. :) and also hope this helps you out.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I ended up going with the Nite Dawg LED light up collar. It had some really good reviews so I decided to try that one. Also got him the LED collar light to go with it in case the actual collar isn't bright enough for my liking.
