My name is Andy from Buffalo, NY. I just got a Jack Russel Puppy, (Chi-chi).He is now almost 2 1/2 months old. I was wondering if any one can advise me on what to do about him biting us! I know puppies bite and we have tried giving him things to bite on example, bones, pig ears etc. but he still seems to want to bite us at times. Also, what is the best way to train him to go to the door when he has to go out to do his business?

Is there any good books on these dogs without spending a fortune on all kinds of books to learn how to train them etc.

Thank You for any help that you can provide to me.

Hope to build a great working relationship as possible as well as gain and share thoughts to the rest of the members. Let's have fun!

See you around!

Hello Andy & welcome to df. I thoroughly recommend the above website. You can also download the book Before You Get Your Puppy which takes you through the 1st weeks with a new puppy.
He's a baby atm & it will take time for him to learn what you want. By taking him outside after eating, drinking, waking up, playing & every hour in between he will soon get the idea he needs to go outside to do his business. You need to go out with him to make sure he goes & praise him & give him a treat when he does.
When he bites don't pull your hand away & say 'ouch'.
He's gorgeous btw. but you know that.
